Dear Classsmates :
This Year 2008 marks the 25th year anniversary of our high school batch way back 1983 at our alma mater the Catanduanes College. What a great and momentous event to celebrate and thank the Lord for giving us all the gift of life to be shared, so that we may be able to reach out to other people in need of our time, talent and service.
With the many informal meetings our CC batch who are based here in Catanduanes had, we came up with the idea of having a simple reunion and a sort of get-together and what we call “kumustahan after 25 years.” We decided to have it on May 24-25, 2008 (that’s a Saturday and Sunday), so that we can take some time off from our busy skeds whether at home, at work or in business.
Below are the activities suggested and approved by majority of our classmates :
May 24, 2008 (1st day)
Thanksgiving Mass – around 6:30 a.m. or 7:00 am. We will have an offertory procession together with our families especially the children. We will be wearing t-shirts designed for this occasion. Imel Salinel-Talan in-charge of the printing of t-shirts.
Motorcade after the mass - around the poblacion. Balloons will be placed on the cars or motorcycles. In this connection, we will have a big banner to be placed on a conspicuous place to highlight the said event. Edna Avila-Bagadiong in-charge of this activity.
In-charge of documentation is Ms. Nanette Tablizo and Mr. Manuel Gianan.
Twin Rock Beach or Amenia Beach. Here our classmates decided on a volunteered ibit-ibit.
May 25, 2008 (2nd day)
Visit at the Provincial Jail. Our batch decided to give the inmates some personal items for their individual use like toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, bimpo. Then, we will serve them snacks. In-charge of this acitivity is Marichu Gianan-Villarete, Nanette Tablizo and Aileenmae Joson-Razal.
At 3 pm in the afternoon , proceed to Lindoy Aguilar’s Residence at San Vicente. This is not yet final since there is a proposal to change the venue.
We cannot push through with this activity without some funds, so our group decided that we should each have a minimum contribution of P500.00.
Our classmate and friend Ms. Elba Sacris now based in Florida with her husband already gave her little share to help finance the activities of our forthcoming get-together. She is not sure if she can attend, but we keep her updated of our activities. Then our classmate and friend Mr. Ronald Gonzales now based in Maryland, U.S.A. gave his response and he is very glad that we thought of having this reunion after 25 years. He pledged to give our batch some financial help maybe by April as he promised. Our classmate and friend Rolando “Joy” Tabor now working in Kazhakstan also pledged to give his share of whatever expenses we will have on this occasion.
Rest assured that we will give an accounting of whatever cash receipts and expenses that will definitely be incurred on this forthcoming event which will we all look forward to be very memorable and happy.
Don’t be shy classmates… Let’s enjoy and party!
